Wheelbarrow Ministry
Today the team prepared bags of corn meal, salt, oil and cabbage in preparation to hand these gifts of love to the many people in need in Misisi Compound. All of us worked together with the leaders of the church, and it was so joyous because we all knew we were going to bless lives today!
As we worked, somehow word spread that help had arrived and it could be found in the House of God. In what seemed like moments, mothers, fathers, teenagers and children ran and lined up at the door. They hoped and prayed there would be something left they could bring home to help their families.
Read along, as a few members of the team share their hearts about helping the wheelbarrow ministry.

Bishop Gallaher reports:
All I can do is cry, when I think that our great God put us on the giving end to be a source of life to our sisters and brothers in Lusaka, Zambia. I hugged and encouraged everyone that came in looking for help. I was thinking, when you see a people that are struggling to survive, it causes you to reevaluate your life and you begin to realize how many things you easily take for granted and how blessed you really are. The Zambian people were so grateful for everything that was given to them. Everyone wanted prayer because they knew that the gifts could only last so long…but their help and hope comes from Jesus Christ. I am just so blessed and honored to have been a part of a Mission that is changing lives!

I don't even know how to put today into words. The whole experience was just overwhelming. It is one thing to hear about the need at home. Your heart is moved with compassion, but a completely different burden overtakes you when you are the one handing out the bag of food to someone who has nothing. Desperate souls clamor at the door as they line up to receive blessings. You watch their faces as they count out how many bags are left to see if they will receive one. You can't even leave the church because of the people pressing in and you struggle as you realize that one bag is only one meal for 2-3 people; maybe it will feed a family, if it stretched into a watery porridge. Your heart fills with increasing dread as you watch the pile grow smaller and smaller and you know it will run out soon. You weep as the food is gone and yet a group of children still press their beautiful faces into the entrance way hoping to be blessed. You feel the weight that this ministry in Zambia faces every single day. Your heart breaks under the pressure and cries out, ‘I have to do more. Lord, I have to do more.’
The church is a light. Amidst such great need, you are handing out hope, one bag at a time. Today, God has answered someone's prayer. Today, word gets out in the streets that there is help. Where? In the church. As each person comes, they are ministered to. Their hearts are hungry. Every single person wants you to pray with them, so you pour out your heart and you ask God to watch over the young child who comes in for food, happy to surprise their family, who comes home, knowing that they will eat today. You pray for God's presence to touch a man's life who is deaf and dumb, but yet you know God understands him. You ask for God to provide for an elderly lady who has no sight, yet others lead her into the church to receive her blessings. You minister to a drunk man, telling him that there is a hope and a purpose for his life.
All the while, you pray earnestly for God to send more laborers into the harvest, for the need is great. You ask God to lay the burden greater on people's hearts to give, so that the work can go forth. Finally, you believe God that His love and provision will go with these people because He is a great big God, who can do more in these people's lives than just what they received today.

A mightty move of God in Dominican Republic
Rev George Teachman was invited to the Dominican Republic by the President of a large Pentecost organization to minister at a 3 day National Convention for pastors, church members and the public. Here are some great reports that he sent.
Prayer meeting
The church I am with here in Higuey,
have a 10 to 11p.m. prayer meeting every night of the week. About 70 people
attend these prayer meetings. Last night 2 ladies came into this prayer meeting
that had demons in them. As the people prayed the presence came down so strong
the girls both got delivered. This was a tremendous battle as the demons in
them were saying things back to the brother who God was using to deliver them.
We are looking for these 2 girls to come back to the meeting and give their
lives fully over to Christ.
On the television
On the radio these 3 conventions meetings
are being advertized on a regular
basis. We were also asked to speak on this pastor’s television program. When we
briefly spoke about the meetings and some words that God gave me for this area
of the Dominican Republic as a nation, the presence of God came down as a
witness that he is going to move mightily.
The rain is falling
It has been raining quite a bit since
I came here. Fortunately the Pastor sets up the meetings that the rain won’t
affect them because everything is covered. This Pastor has his church and his
school on the same property. Tents are covering the parking areas. I mentioned
to one brother about all the rain that has been falling, he told me this has
been a great blessing that since you arrived there has been a considerable
amount of rain. He went on to say that the crops have been burning up and some
of the livestock has been dying in this area due to the lack of rain. And that
those rains are an answer to prayer for many. We thank God and we know that he
is in control of all things.
The three night national convention
People have been arriving here from
all around the country. They have six large tents with hundreds of chairs
outside for those to sit in that can’t fit inside of the church. Inside the
church, people are sitting along both side walls and the extra chairs in the
back of the church are all full. They have almost filled the center aisle of
the church and many chairs have been placed in front at the altar area to
accommodate all the people. The overflow of people surrounds both sides of the
outside of the church, at every window people crowd around to look inside.
Others sit in the seats and listen to the meetings through the speakers that
are set up for the night meetings. This church is the Central church in this
Pentecostal Movement and their largest church. They also have a school on the
property and are looking to expand to accommodate all the souls that are coming
to the feet of Jesus in this church.
The platform was filled with the ministers, and other ministers sat in the audience. God gave me 3 powerful messages to minister to the people here that are very hungry for God. The first is that God is looking for a deliverer; the second was the multiplication process of God, and the third was the glory of the latter house. These messages were full of instructions for all the pastors that attended as well as their respective congregations. God has revealed much in his word to me and I delivered it exactly as he had given it to me. I took my time to make sure all the people clearly heard everything that God had given me for them out of his word. As always, the Holy Ghost came upon me and set me on fire, but I wasn’t alone, this same fire fell upon the interpreter brother Rafael who did an awesome job as we became as one in the spirit. Most of the audience would be crying, some weeping, some would be shaking; some would be dancing in the spirit. And the Holy Ghost was falling all over the church as the word was being brought. I saw a change in the ministers as the meetings went on. The first night about one half of the ministers were somewhat withdrawn. Some from the travel others seemed weary from the battles that they face daily.

By the second night this all changed
as the Holy Ghost was moving upon all the ministers just as he was moving upon
the people in the audience. The anointing of God came down powerfully in all
three nights at the altar call which was filled with hundreds of people seeking
God for prayer. Some times during the altar call the Lord would instruct me to
gently blow upon a person and each time they would immediately fall under the
presence of God. The interpreter Rafael was being used by the Lord in the same
manner with the same results. Other times I would feel the spirit telling me to
just touch the person I was praying for with one finger on their forehead
because God was mightily coming upon each person as we ministered to them words
in prayer. As each person would bring their need to God by faith and we would
pray for them. If 30 people came for prayer only 2 or 3 would remain standing.
The presence of the Lord was over coming people rapidly each night.
One altar call the Lord instructed me to have 12 ministers set up to pray for the people and delivers the words that God was giving them for each person seeking God. I was free as well as Brother Rafael to minister to those that the spirit would lead us to at the altar call. The one word that I kept hearing from so many people is that the convention was "amazing" which no surprise is because our God is amazing and these people are very hungry to hear from God and receive all that he has for their life. Many people were receiving healings.
Pastor Apolinaria prayed for several people who had migraine headaches that were immediately healed. Other people also were healed from migraine headaches. Another woman that was prayed for had a very sore throat and stomach ache, the Lord immediately healed both as she received prayer. Another man has pain in his ear and after prayer there was no pain. Another woman that had been facing an operation was healed. And when she goes back to her city will not have to have an operation because the Lord healed her also. One church leader told me that through these 3 days of convention the church took a 180 degree turn and he knows the church will continue to follow God with all their hearts. One Pastor talked to us she said she saw so many people falling under the power of God quickly that she started to ask the Lord what was happening, she said as she was praying the Lord gave her a vision of a fire surrounding my hand as we laid hands upon the people this fire entered into the people.
Pastor Mejía the one who invited me is also the president of this Pentecostal organization in the Dominican Republic and he told me that the blessing that was brought to his church was historic. God used me in a powerful way. It has not only blessed the church and all the visiting churches but the community as a whole. And the people that came to this convention with a great expectancy God gave to them everything they came looking for. Pastora Apolinaria told me that she felt very happy in this 3 days convention. God is moving in the homes
Brother Rafael and I have been asked
to go into many of the homes and business here to pray for the people. As we
pray for them the Holy Spirit will reveal to either me or Brother Rafael the
peoples specific situations. Most all these people when we pray with them in
their homes the presence of God overshadows them immediately. In some of the
homes the whole family would be slain out together. The Lord is doing something
wonderful here every time we turn around.

Your notes of love & prayers brought smiles and warmth to the hearts of the workers that will be distributing the aid and they will be sharing that same love with all those they bless.
Hope NYC Church - for keeping your doors open for the needy of your community, and for sharing God's love to all who come to you. God will truly reward you for continuing to be His hands extended. Our prayers are with you as you make a lasting impact for Christ in this day! Through the combined efforts of all involved, we were able to deliver 6 pallets of aid on Saturday 1/19/13 to Hope NYC Church! They were very appreciative for the outpouring of love shown through this giving and are blessed to know that through this support they will be able to continue to meet the needs of those devastated by Hurricane Sandy!

Peanut Butter Collection
A Peanut Butter Plea!

While the Edmé family from Mission of Hope
International (Haiti) is
visiting the U.S., they will
be collecting jars of peanut butter to ship back to Haiti. As our most recent mission team experienced
first-hand while in Haiti, this is a very valuable 'resource' ☺
From now
until Sunday, Oct. 7th, WWLM will be collecting all types of peanut butters and nut spreads. Donations can be delivered to WWLM's Donation Facility located at 723 Main Street, Manchester, CT during donation hours of Mon - Thurs, 9am-4pm (closed 12-1pm).

We Can Make A Difference!
Greetings Friends,
We have a wonderful report to share with you from the overseers of our Donation Center (aka. Blessing Center). This Center is a place where general gift-in-kind donations are received on a regular basis and made available to those in need within our local and worldwide community. We are just so blessed by the many wonderful people that God has sent our way, so that we can continue to make a difference in many lives. We hope this report blesses you.
A woman has been donating clothes to us for a few years. She came into the Blessing Center at Easter time to see if we had a suit for her grandson. We did and she was so thankful. She said the suit fit him perfectly and that it made him feel so proud. She later sent a nice thank-you note saying that he would have had nothing if not for our help. This was a blessing. Then, she called again a few weeks later with a request for clothes for her grandson, because at age 17, he is now applying for a job. She also had a request for a young girl having a baby. So we decided we wanted to know more about this woman who had so much compassion for people.
When we contacted her we found out that she was an older woman who loves to help the needy people in her area. She collects clothes for women in need, most of whom are just out of prison. Her heart is so big, and she says “Somebody has to help these women and believe enough to give them a second chance.” Come to find out, this woman was once herself incarcerated for robbery. While in prison, she gave her life to Jesus Christ through the faithfulness of a wonderful ministry that held church services there, and her life was miraculously changed. When she was released from prison, she continued on in her walk with the Lord and had a passion, which she continues today, to help similar women in need.
Lately, she is finding many men and children, have been needing help but she doesn’t have the resources to help them. She has reached out to us at WWLM to help her supply clothing for these people in need. She shared that when she gives them anything she tells them about Salvation. She said they become her friend, and with that connection is winning them to Christ. She always wants to have prayer when she calls or comes here, but this most recent visit, she brought her mother with her and asked if we could go out to the car & pray with her; which we did gladly. This blessed our day, It’s encounters like this that mean so much to us here at the Blessing Center. Some of this work can be at times monotonous, but more and more we are getting a chance to reach into the lives of people and offer not only a needed item but also offer what is needed most ~ Jesus. These people stay on our hearts and when we are praying we don't forget them but lift them up in prayer.
My friends this is just one report of how simple it is to reach out and help some one else in need. God Almighty has given all of us a blessing that can flow through to others. Whether you volunteer with us at the Blessing Center, or you give physical goods, or support financially, you truly are making a difference in the lives of those around you. Without YOU, it wouldn’t be possible. In addition to all that you do for WWLM, we encourage you to take a look around and find a way to bring some joy to another’s life. You may be at school, work or in your neighborhood. It is so simple! Just start by smiling at someone. Hug someone! Shake someone’s hand. Call somebody and tell them that you love them! Get out and volunteer! And continue to give to help the poor! There are so many people that need you! It doesn’t matter the size of your ‘gift’, it just matters that you give. Do something to change someone’s life today and watch how it will impact and change your life!
